Snow

We were blessed (or cursed) with snow this weekend. The blessing part is the kids got to go sledding on the hill across from our house. The curse is that school is closed tomorrow. We only got a few inches, but the ice on the roads is bad. Ella did not like the first day of "snowing" as my kids called it and decided to go with mommy shopping. Why I went out in the mess is beyond me. Jack had a ball on the "surf board" which we borrowed from one of David's friends. We tried homemade sleds and that did not work (note to self, snow shovels and tops of plastic tubs do not make for good sleds). Thank goodness for the kindness of others. Ella did enjoy "snowing" today as the sleet had stopped and the sun was out. I spent most of the day shoveling the stairs outside and the driveway, so it was not one big sheet of ice. I was not as successful as I wanted to be and hope to do a bit more clearing off tomorrow. I have to juggle meetings and snow shoveling and having the kids home with me as well....oh the joys of snow. I've attached some photos of the weekend below.

  1. Hi Melissa! My name is Wendy Mueller and I am a recruiter that is working with your Dad-Dan. I shared with him that my husband and I are adopting from China too are probably going in April, about a month after you! I would love to follow your journey as we are adopting "special needs" too! I enjoyed looking at your postings and Anna is adorable!!
